With a vast array of education from Fireman, EMT, RIT Instructor to Trainer for Arboriculture of Canada Chainsaw safety, and certifications from HAZ-MAT, NIMS ICS, Rope Rescue Technician level (MUSAR), Dustin is a prepared individual in a vast array of scenarios - Farms to Terrorism.
This course is part of the ASM Fall Conference - ArborFest, but is a separate registration. The course runs from 8:30am-2:30pm and includes morning beverages and lunch.
ISA CEU's and TCIA CTSP credits are available.
Accidents involving chain saws are a significant concern for tree care and landscape employers, the employees who operate the equipment, and manufacturers alike. Strong anecdotal information from the field tells us that chain saw operators receive little or no formal training on chain saw operation and field maintenance.
This 6-hour course will cover all aspects of chainsaw safety, handling, maintenance including the six-step felling process of how to properly fell a tree also dealing with trees after they are on the ground limbing and bucking. Some hands-on performing of notching, saw handling and felling will be incorporated. This course is MIOSHA M-TEC GRANT FUNDED.

Refund requests for event registration fees must be submitted in writing via email or mail no later than 7 days prior to the start of an event to receive a refund. A $50.00 administration fee will be assessed for all cancellations. Refund requests received less than 7 days prior to the start of the event will not be accepted.
Event registration serves as a contract between the registrant and ASM. Payment for event registration is the responsibility of the registrant. The registrant agrees to these terms and the contract becomes active upon ASM receiving the completed registration via email or mail.
