Loud and Lusty Entomological Phenomenon: Periodical Cicadas Brood X Emergence

Brood X periodical cicadas will emerge this May and June in the eastern US including a few counties in southern Michigan. This webinar will cover basic periodical cicada biology and the potential injury to trees and shrubs resulting from this mass emergence.

Approved for 1 ISA CEU.

Speaker: Howard Russell, M.S.
The Arthropod Diagnostician at Michigan State University, Howard's areas of expertise include arthropod identification, household, structural, landscape and garden pests, pest survey and detection and invasive arthropods.  He also teaches a blue collar entomology class to agriculture and landscape students at MSU.
