Safety Trio: EHAP, AR, CPR/Adult First Aid

MARCH 6, 2023
8:00am-12:00pm EHAP Training
Limited to 25 people
(TCIA Manuals are an optional fee.)

Instructor: Lucas Drews, ISA Certified Arborist, Aerial Arboriculture Tree Care & Training
All arborists must be trained to recognize and avoid electrical hazards. EHAP helps you meet yearly OSHA & MIOSHA safety requirements for anyone who works near utility lines. EHAP must be used in combination with documented on-the-job skills training and verification to meet OSHA 1910.269 requirements.

To prevent fatal accidents, we encourage all professionals involved in the pruning or removal of trees to participate in this formal and documented training. Learn to identify electrical system components, the presence and nature of electrical hazards, protective measurers available, and common unsafe acts to avoid.

This course helps the employer comply with MIOSHA Part 53, Rule 5311: An employer shall:
a) Provide training to each new employee regarding the requirements of this standard, the job hazards and safeguards before starting his assigned job.
b) Not allow a tool or equipment to be used which is not guarded according to state standards, has a defective guard or is otherwise unsafe.
c) Develop rescue procedures such as, but not limited to, removal of injured, stricken or electrically shocked employees from work positions aloft.

8:00am-3:00pm Aerial Rescue
Limited to 25 people

(TCIA Manuals are an optional fee.)
Instructor: Lucas Drews, ISA Certified Arborist, Aerial Arboriculture Tree Care & Training

The most common reason for double fatalities in tree care is failed aerial rescue attempts. An emergency could develop any time one of your crews is aloft and your employees must know how to react. This program helps you protect your employees and meets the aerial rescue training requirements mandated by ANSI Z133.1 and OSHA. Aerial Rescue Training is a prerequisite for taking the ISA Tree Worker/Climber Certification test.
