Tree Work 101: Getting Started in Arboriculture

In this course, students will learn introductory methods in groundwork, climbing and aerial lift and rescue. Core concepts covered include job site analysis, chainsaw handling and operation, knots and rigging, climbing, basic tree ID and pruning and fundamental aerial lift and rescue.

Course meets in-person over eight days during Spring 2024:

April 25-26
May 2-3

Course is taught at the introductory level.
