Attendees will park at Ramp 5, off Trowbridge road. Meet Jerry Wahl in the Landscape Services building lunchroom to begin the walking tour!
Community Center Building
Meet with ISA Certified arborist and the City’s Woodland Consultant Julie Stachecki to learn about native and common trees found in urban landscapes as we tour the City Campus. Park at the Community Center Building: 3350 E. Seyburn Drive, Auburn Hills, Michigan 48326
and meet at the outdoor pavilion in the park South of the building. Signs will direct you!
Friends of Grand Rapids Parks very own Lauren Davies will guide you through an amazing collection of common and unique trees at Oak Hills Cemetery and now ‘Arboretum‘!

This 1.5 day course will cover all aspects of chainsaw safety, handling, maintenance including the six-step felling process of how to properly fell a tree also dealing with trees after they are on the ground limbing and bucking. Some hands-on performing of notching, saw handling and felling will be incorporated. This course is MIOSHA M-TEC GRANT FUNDED.
